Ticketmaster announced this week that they will be closing down Get Me In! and Seatwave in a move towards a fair value fan-to-fan marketplace. At Twickets, we welcome Ticketmaster’s decision to close down their two resale sites. It is encouraging to see the biggest ticketing company in the world taking such a significant step in the right direction, and further validates our model.
However, the fight against touts isn’t over, as platforms such as Viagogo, Stubhub, Ticketbis and many others are still active. Twickets is still the only marketplace where fans can buy and sell tickets for any event, issued by any primary ticketing agency at no more than face value, and will continue to be the one-stop resale solution for fans all across the globe.
